Baby's first haircut!!

I broke down and did it...I told myself and I think everyone else that I was going to wait until a year to cut his hair. He had some of the most adorable curls you have ever seen, but in the last week I have had three people refer to Brayden has a "her" and that was my push that it was time. He did so good he just kept wanting to look at the woman who was cutting it. The new cut is so cute and of course I did save the curls for his baby book!

Before the cut (his curls were in the back they are hard to see from a picture) Waiting for the cut to begin....he looks so enthused.

Mommy and Sister trying to distract him.

I will have to post an after picture later. I'm not really sure what I was thinking, but we didn't take an after picture. Sorry, it will be coming soon!

West Palm Beach

Well, we just got back from our wonderful wonderful trip to see my mom. She was in West Palm Beach, FL for a class that she had to take for work so we made the drive to see her while she was so close. After a long drive from SC to FL and then having to sit on the side of I95 for 3 hours while we waited for roadside assistance to show up and change my tire, we made it and had a really good time. It was so nice just to see my mom and spend some relaxing time together.

View from our hotel balcony

At the Loggerhead turtle hospital. It was so neat you could get so close to the turtles and they also had a display of all the shark teeth (very scary!)

Charleston Children's Museum

These pictures are from the afternoon we spent at the children's museum. It is such a neat museum and just big enough that it didn't overwhelm you with things to do. We had fun and Kaitlyn especially had fun playing in the shrimp boat and "grocery shopping"

Being a tourist

Charleston has this program called "be a tourist in your own town" and for a very reasonable price you can by a pass and it includes admission to a lot of the attractions here. They are different ones each year so for the last couple of years we have done this and have really gotten to see and do a lot here in Charleston. We are blessed to get to have experienced such a beautiful place to live! Here are some of the pictures from our trip to Drayton Hall. Drayton Hall is a plantation dating back to 1734. It has never been restored and for the most part is exactly how it was left. Very interesting you should visit their website http://www.draytonhall.org/. Or come see it your next visit to see us :)

Update from the Mooney's

Happy New Year!! It seems like this year is already going by at an incredible speed! We have had yet again another busy month. Brayden has sort of started walking. He was well on his way and was even taking up to 7 steps all by himself and then he decided he could get places way quicker just by crawling. In the last couple of days though he has become brave and is attempting to venture off on his own again. I am still thinking he will be a pretty good walker by his first birthday. I cant believe that day is right around the corner!! Kaitlyn is still going to preschool and absolutely loves it. She has started to write her own name even though you would have to know what it is to really tell that it is her name. She is getting there and she is so proud of herself! Her favorite thing to do is to let you give her a letter so she can write it. Kevin has also started his school and is doing very well may I add. He has a 100 so far!! And for myself.....still just waiting to see the Dr on the 4th. For those of you who didn't know I went a couple of weeks ago and had some blood work done, because I had been losing a lot of weight. And my liver count was high so he wanted me to have an ultrasound done on my liver. I went and had that done and now I just have to wait and follow up with my Dr. So, I will keep you updated on that as soon as I hear something. Well, to leave you here are some pictures of the little ones......
